  • Abstract
    Two new classes of wave derived log-domain circuits are presented: complex wave filters and wave allpass group-delay equalisers. Log-domain circuits offer a low-power property while wave derived circuits inherit a low-sensitivity property from the ladder prototypes and are less prone to transistor nonidealities. Important design properties are examined and the performance of the derived circuits are assessed with simulation in typical BJT and HBT SiGe BiCMOS technologies. The design procedures have been incorporated into XFILTER design software.
