Abstract :
The aim of this research is study the effects of mobile phone radiations on left and right sides of human brain. High frequency group of brainwave signals (beta and alpha will be compared in term of correlation and brainwaves pattern after being exposed to the radio frequency. The brainwave signals of alpha and beta frequency bands were recorded using electroencephalograph (EEG) for three states which are before, during and after the exposure to the radio frequency. Then the results of captured brainwave signals were analyzed and compared with results from Sham Exposure (SE) group. It was found that the magnitude of both alpha and beta brainwave signals were reduced during and after exposure, with significant reduction on the side where the phone was located. This resulted in unbalanced brainwave signals, where the correlation value of left and right brainwave was reduced to 0.49 (beta) and 0.53 (alpha).
