Abstract
This research presents a logical approach for implementing dynamic business rules based on a context-aware integrated BPM-SOA framework [18]. Specifically, a system is developed to demonstrate how Internet-based commercial lending operations with intelligent decision making can deliver faster speed, improved consistency and reliability throughout the entire lending process with scalability. With Internet-based BPM-SOA and BI engine implementation, it is possible to reassess the credit rating via key financial health indicators (i.e. liquidity, capital structure, profitability, and cash flow ratios) during the lending assessment process. If the likelihood of a credit rating change is high, the credit rating will be placed on Watching, which implies that some factors would have changed to impact on the credit rating of an applicant, hereinafter obligor. Our experimental implementation of business loan application process has demonstrated the timely and improved potential loan default possibility while revealing the scalability of our proposed context-aware integrated BPM-SOA framework.
