  • Abstract
According to the characteristics of the IP Quos and IEEE802.16 Quos services, an improved mapping mechanism between IP layer and MAC layer is proposed, which is concerning with integrated IntServ /RSVP model and DiffServ model in IP layer, and by using DS field, different QoS services in IP layer can be mapped into the QoS services in MAC layer. Simulation results have shown that the improved mapping mechanism not only guarantees the QoS of the IP layer and MAC layer and also achieves cross-layer transmission effectively.
