Abstract
Summary form only given. We present our experimental results of miniature nonlinear optical-loop mirrors made of GaAs-AlGaAs quantum-well optical amplifiers. The ridge-loading waveguide loop has a 300-/spl mu/m radius with a 4 /spl mu/m ridge width. The loop is connected to a multimode interference (MMI) waveguide.
