Abstract :
Hybrid energy system (HES) is an emerging technology that has potential to meet future energy requirements (for example in distributed generation and electric vehicular system). Hybridization of energy systems heavily depends on power electronic interface which integrates several energy sources having different V-I characteristic. In this paper., a novel double input DC/DC converter is proposed for hybridization with two different energy sources. These two input sources can be loaded either individually or simultaneously with the possibilities of series and parallel combinations of input source. The topology can be operated in buck., boost., buck-boost modes of operation. In addition., it has capability of bidirectional power flow. In this paper., a fixed frequency PWM switching scheme has been opted for gate pulse generation. A detailed simulation study of proposed concept has been carried out using MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and validated experimentally.
