Abstract
Summary form only given. We demonstrate for the first time, we believe, a broadband low-finesse antiresonant Fabry-Perot saturable absorber (A-FPSA) that starts Kerr lens mode-locking (KLM) of a Ti:sapphire laser and supports 10-fs pulses.
