Abstract
Summary form only given. We report on work to optimize excitation laser characteristics for a mesospheric sodium guidestar using analysis and computer simulation that have been tested by five prior experiments. This laser problem continues to be an important one because no concept has yet been found that creates a robust guidestar for satellite imaging (SI) at the LISAF Starfire Optical Range in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
