  • Abstract
Summary form only given. Laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) of molecular oxygen was investigated under high pressure conditions. Making use of the fast predissociation of the B state was thought to be useful in LIF measurements because collisional processes would not be fast enough to influence the fluorescence process. However, we have shown, that even at moderate pressures of 10 bar, collisions affect the fluorescence process. This information is mandatory for quantitative LIF measurements, especially measurements under high pressure conditions.
