  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. We have for the first time, we believe, demonstrated femtosecond pulse generation of a Yb:YAG laser using high-finesse and low-finesse antiresonant Fabry-Perot saturable absorbers. We achieved pulses as short as 563 fs with typical average output powers of 150 mW.
