Abstract :
Compact, repetitive linear transformer drivers (LTDs) are being developed by using solid-state semiconductor switching devices. The objective is to develop a new approach to repetitive pulsed power generation for industrial applications. The LTD architecture is found to be advantageous in not only stress sharing and modularity but also in the potential new concept of "smart pulsed power".
