Abstract
We present a modified algorithm for temporal alignment employed in hybrid bi-static SAR, composed of a space borne transmitter and an airborne receiver, based on an algorithm for space-surface bi-static SAR. The mathematical model in the algorithm for space-surface bi-static SAR is modified due to the separation of the positions measurement devices. Simulation is performed to validate the precision of the proposed algorithm. The result after compression is good and satisfactory. Contrarily the compression result before compensation shows bad characteristics such as the displacement of the image, the degradation of the azimuth resolution and the decrease of the side lobe ratio.
