Abstract :
In this paper, we investigate the dynamical process of a skin conductance response (SCR) in biosignals with the means of a second order linear circuit (RLC series circuit). A simple function is obtained to describe the gestalt of a SCR curve. According to the enormous empirical tests of curve fitting, our model represents an optimal model for the gestalt of a SCR because the maximum relative error is smaller than 2%. Some parameters of physical significance determining the dynamical process of a SCR are obtained from the model. Further more, it is very convenient to use the model to make visual analysis of a SCR during an interactive evaluation.
