Abstract :
Constant On-Time (Constant On-Time, COT) control technique has been widely used for industry application. It regulates output voltage of switching converter by adjusting variation of switch frequency. In this paper, input voltage feed-forward and output reference voltage feedback based Constant Frequency Turn-On Time (CFOT) control technique is proposed. By introducing input voltage feed-forward and output reference voltage feedback compensation, CFOT control technique avoid the variation of switching frequency under the variation of input voltage and /or output voltage. Similar to COT control technique, CFOT also has simple control loop and fast transient response. Moreover, error amplifier and its corresponding compensation network are not needed. Simulation results verify the validity of the proposed CFOT control technique.
