Abstract
Summary form only given. Here we report on the performance of a single-stage KTiOPO/sub 4/ based optical parametric amplifier (OPA) above 3 /spl mu/m with reduced requirements on the pump levels because of the seeding applied, which in addition facilitates the generation of narrow bandwidths and transform-limited pulses.
