Abstract :
We measured breathing at the air passage in mice, in which a high humidity drug was introduced into the air passage by a nebulizer to evaluate airway contraction. To lengthen the lifetime of a catheter flow sensor in such a humid environment, a combination of silicone oil and a parylene film coating was newly conducted in the packaging process. The developed sensor was inserted into an air passage in mouse, and then a drug which caused the air passage to contract was given to the mouse. The sensor directly detected the breathing characteristics.
