Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a filter bank design based on the fast filter bank (FFB) with a nested cascade subfilter infrastructure to achieve a multiplierless filter bank with deep stopband suppression and narrow transition width. Such a design is suitable for high-speed, low-power integrated circuit implementation of a filter bank with demanding characteristics. A design example of a filter bank with 16-channels showed significant improvements over the polyphase implementation.
