Abstract
The paper proposes the use of complex adaptive processing as a means to reduce the analog to digital design gap on mixed-signal systems. Linear and non-linear adaptive filters are used to compensate for the non-idealities on the analog acquisition path allowing the use of low cost analog blocks. Several different digital architectures are investigated to increase resolution and reduce non-linearities for a target two-tone acquisition application. A prototype board is designed and the theoretical and measured results are analyzed.
