Abstract
Summary form only given. We present a novel architecture for compact holographic random-access memories. Our design reduces the size of the optical system to that of a portable packaged device, while also allowing for data refreshing and updating. A single optoelectronic integrated circuit acts as spatial light modulator and detector. The need for imaging optics is eliminated by using a self-retracing reconstruction geometry.
