  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. A novel slab laser design with hybrid resonators was discussed. Almost 22 W with diffraction-limited beam quality was obtained by pumping an Nd:YAG slab with a stack consisting of only three diode laser bars. The slope efficiency is 36%. The beam propagation factor for the stable plane is MZ=1.3 and for the unstable plane MZ=1.6. These preliminary results are very promising.
