Abstract :
A 2.4-GHz integrated frequency synthesizer of PLL-based in 0.35-μm RF process is presented. A fully integrated cross-coupled LC VCO of low phase noise is implemented. Prescaler accompanied with phase-switching is used to eliminate the glitch. The charge-pump having excellent current matching performance and wide output voltage range is achieved. The synthesizer has a frequency tuning range from 2.28 to 2.75 GHz. The simulation results show that it dissipates less than 66mW; settle time is less 100ms; the phase noise is -117dBc/Hz@600KHz.
