Abstract
Summary form only given. Interest in borate crystals for ultraviolet (UV) nonlinear optics (NLO) has increased because all solid-state UV lasers obtained by NLO are strongly requested. Much effort has been spent on developing borates series in the 1990s. Recently the borate crystal, CsLiB/sub 6/O/sub 10/ (CLBO), has been discovered and developed by the present authors. In this talk we report on growth, doping, and NLO properties of CLBO.
