Abstract
This paper presents an approach to design fault detection systems for linear discrete-time periodic systems, which doesn´t require prior knowledge of system model. The proposed approach directly identifies parameters of residual generators from input and output data of the periodic system, instead of first identifying parameters of the system model. Not only periodic parity relation based residual generators but also periodic observer based residual generators can be obtained in this way. An example is given to illustrate the proposed approach
