Abstract :
Summary form only given. This work describes an application of the phase-modulation induced by cascading second-harmonic generation occurring at quasi-phase-matching during all-optical switching. Performing an experiment with a KDP crystal and laser pulses 3-ps long of 2 MW/cm/sup 2/, almost 98% of switching from generation to nongeneration regime was observed.
