Abstract
Summary form only given. Microchannel free-space optical interconnects (FSOIs) can provide parallel and high bandwidth optical interconnects with simple and compact optical systems. In this paper, we apply Gaussian beam propagation theory to analyze the alignment tolerances for on-axis nontelecentric optical systems, and compare with the alignment tolerancing for telecentric system.
