Abstract
This paper addresses the problems encountered by the previous ferrite phase shifter design and the solutions proposed by a new ferrite phase shifter design. Specifics of the various proposed solutions and the altered design are presented. The presented results of the altered design, consisting of the insertion loss with respect to the amount of bias, return loss with respect to the amount of bias, and total phase shift, show optimal performance. These results verify the improvement of the new design compared to the previous design by showing excellent impedance match at high and low bias as well as high-quality phase shift.
