Abstract
The design and analysis of a pattern-selectable HF antenna located on a US Air Force C-12. The dual-mode antenna can be switched between a long-range sky wave mode and a short-range NVIS mode on the lower HF band (2-8 MHz). Computed impedance and radiation pattern results are presented for both modes of operation.
