Abstract
Summary form only given. In this contribution we report on detailed investigations of pump and idler resonant cw RTA-OPOs. As KTP, the RTA-crystal is well suited for cw-OPOs. With near-infrared (Ti:sapphire or diode laser) pump radiation the RTA-OPO generates signal and idler radiation in the range of 1220 to 1270 nm and 2000-2400 nm, respectively. Because this radiation is not absorbed by water (e.g., in the optical coatings or the crystal itself), RTA should be best suited for low-threshold operation.
