Abstract :
This paper proposes an alternative method using FDTD. This method consists in illuminating a single cell of the array and calculating the reflected wave in the presence of the nearest neighbour cells (identical or not). It permits to obtain the radiation of a surrounded cell in all directions and for any incidence of the incoming wave. As an illustration, the method is applied to two resonant structures, a simple patch loaded with a slot and a triple patch loaded with two slots. These cells are proposed as test structures for the ACE (Antenna Center of Excellence, European NoE) software benchmarking.
