Abstract
The problem of tracking a reference output is investigated in the case of multi-input/multi-output delay-differential systems. The problem is formulated in a ring framework, so that results and methodologies steaming from the algebraic theory of linear systems with coefficients in a ring can be applied. In particular, inversion procedures and the notion of functional controllability are shown to be relevant in solving the problem
