Abstract :
It has been experimentally demonstrated that microwave irradiation can disturb the equilibrium between the processes of excitation and inhibition in the nervous system. By applying microwaves to stimulate some acupuncture points, analgesic effects are obtained on rabbits. Microwave stimulation can increase the pain threshold and decrease the concentration of nonrepinephrine in the hypothalamic preoptic area at the same time. Results were obtained using a brain push-pull perfusion experiment.<>
