Abstract :
A layout-oriented three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation tool for the CAD (computer-aided design) of MICs/MMICs with several novel features is described. It exhibits higher speed in multifrequency analyses than the standard algorithms by using spectral operator expansion with nonregular expansion functions. Its use in the context of CAD is illustrated by examples. The accuracy of this simulation tool is evaluated.<>
