Abstract
An electric analog of heat flow in a power transistor has been constructed using lumped noninductive transmission lines. The analog is made up of three lines representing the emitter region, the base region, and the collector region. The constants for the transmission fines are computed from the physical dimensions and physical constants of the transistor. The analog gives a picture of the transit temperature of the emitter junction and the collector junction as well as the temperature at any point along the heat flow path.
