Abstract :
The Persistron is a device in which the processes of electroluminescence and photoconductivity are utilized in a single panel capable of producing a steady or "persistent" display with pulsed signal input. The panel is normally triggered by light. It does not operate in the storage mode, but has luminance and persistence characteristics improved over those of the normal exponential decay phosphors.
