Abstract :
For the last three years, a group of cathode researchers from several companies and organizations have worked together in evolving a diode structure which could be used to collect data on effects of single variables on life and emission of oxide cathodes. The structure has planar geometry, the cathode being that used by the majority of the cathode-ray industry. Several structures were tried and the data on them are presented.
