Abstract
A 500 MHz half-loop antenna and matching network has been fabricated from a 2 cm by 2 cm thin film of the high-temperature superconductor YBaCuO. The antenna demonstrates a radiation efficiency of 20% compared to 7% for a comparable copper antenna.<>
