Abstract
Summary form only given. We present a four-wave mixing (FWM) experiment using a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). The FWM process is analyzed via the nonlinear susceptibilities for carrier density pulsation (CDP), the spectral hole burning (SHB) and the carrier heating (CH).
