Abstract :
Summary form only given. We have developed a transmission modulator suitable for free-space communications applications at the 1.32-/spl mu/m Nd:YAG laser wavelength. Our device is a Fabry-Perot resonator with InGaAs-InAlAs mirror stacks and an InGaAs-InAlGaAs strained-layer superlattice active-cavity region.
