Abstract
A new interconnection network is proposed, called Clustered Cube Interconnection Network (CCN). CCN is constructed by recursive clustering of processor clusters. The proposed interconnection network maintains good theoretical properties of a hypercube, such as fully distributed routing and good fault tolerant characteristics, while requiring a fixed number of links per node. The CCN also shows modular incremental characteristics and a hierarchical configuration of cluster levels. The derivation of such interconnection structures is outlined. The network definition, basic properties, the routing algorithm, and practical considerations are investigated
