Abstract
The author describes a computer-aided-instruction (CAI) platform that provides a mechanism for incorporating lectures and laboratory components of an introductory computer engineering course into an interactive CAI environment. This CAI platform is a PC-based environment that strives to balance the tutorial time where students gain the theoretical skills in the subject matter with laboratory skills where students are provided with a controlled hands-on and one-on-one interaction with the CAI platform. This CAI tool is developed using Turbo C. Text and graphics are intermixed to provide demonstrations of the concepts covered using animation to facilitate the learning process
