Abstract :
The authors describe a software design tool which aids in the evaluation of performance, determination of resource requirements, and selection of operating points for an algorithm implemented in an ATAMM algorithm-to-architecture-mapping-mod defined data-flow architecture. Algorithms are restricted to the class of large-grained, decision-free algorithms. Applications include real-time implementation of control and signal processing algorithms. The ATAMM design tool is capable of determining computing time, throughput, and resource requirements for an algorithm. The applicability and the various features of the ATAMM design tool are presented through a case study involving the decomposed state equation for linear time-invariant systems
