Abstract :
Europium-doped scandium orthophospate (ScPO4:Eu3+ ) phosphors have been investigated for their temperature-dependent emission properties. It is shown that ScPO4:Eu3+ crystals can be utilized in thermophosphor thermometry up to 1200°C. The fluorescence lifetime calibration curve of ScPO4: Eu3+ and its emission and excitation spectra measured as a function of increasing temperature are presented
