Abstract :
An academic database and counseling system (ADCS) is described which has been designed to meet the growing problems of maintaining students´ academic records and to facilitate advising them. This package, written in C for IBM PCs and their compatibles, maintains students´ college history, computes their GPAs and total credit hours earned, determines their classifications and status, and advises them on which courses to take the next term. Even though this system is designed for the electrical engineering program of the University of Florida, the system is flexible enough to allow the user to change the degree requirements, which makes it adaptable to any other academic program
