Abstract
The author presents a new family of high-performance parameter estimators that are inherently continuous time in nature and are defined by ordinary differential equations. These continuous-time parameter estimators can converge to and track dynamically changing `constant´ parameter values more effectively than conventional discrete-time least-squares estimators. Application of these continuous-time parameter estimators in the field of high-performance adaptive control is discussed
