Abstract :
This paper describes a 150 W CW 30GHz band interdigital circuit TWT, developed for satellite communication ground terminal application. In the operating band from 29 to 30 GHz, 180 W output power is obtained with circuit voltage lower than 11 kV. About 9.5% beam efficiency and 25 % tube efficiency are achieved with a single stage depressed collector. The TWT is air cooled.
