  • Abstract
    A current-voltage expression J=J(V) is derived for an electrochemical photovoltaic solar cell under illumination. The presence of both recombination centers and intermediary states is assumed at the semiconductor surface. The final expression obtained is in a form which is useful for design and analysis of these solar cells.
