Abstract
Summary form only given. Polydiacetylenes (PDA) are interesting as model systems with quasi one-dimensional electronic properties. We report on the coherent molecular motion associated with the vibrations of PDA polymer chains. The femtosecond pump-probe experiments have been performed on highly oriented poly[l,6-di(9-carbazolyl-,4-hexadiyne)] thin films. The differential transmission and reflectivity spectra are measured with two 10-fs pulses.
