Abstract :
Summary form only given. The photoreactivity of chlorine dioxide (OClO) has been a subject of great interest in photochemistry. We have investigated the ultrafast dynamics of the liquid-phase photochemistry of OClO using time-resolved transient absorption spectroscopy. In this report, we present the transient absorption results for OClO in aqueous solution obtained with femtosecond time resolution. The transient absorption dynamics were studied with a wide range of probe spectral coverage, from 350-700 nm.
