Abstract
Summary form only given. The photodissociation dynamics of glyoxal have been of special interest in recent years because of the possibility that a single transition state leads to three molecular products: 2CO + H/sub 2/. In the present work (2+1) REMPI through the E,F state was used to characterize the rovibrational level of the H/sub 2/ product. To explore the possibility of mode selectivity in dissociation, a PHOFEX spectrum was taken by monitoring the relative amount of H/sub 2/ produced as the dissociation laser was scanned.
