Abstract :
Summary form only given. Since the first demonstration of spatial solitary waves in a quadratic nonlinear optical material, such materials have been studied for potential all-optical applications. Beam clean-up measurements were conducted with use of a 1-cm-long bulk KTiOPO/sub 4/ (KTP) crystal oriented to an SHG phase mismatch. The source used was a Q-switched, modelocked, Nd:YAG system.
